Is it just a glitch or did the spider boss get harder from the last time because the spider shoots saw blades then bombs and after that saw blades again then the tiny laser things and once again before it shoots the big laser thing.

I tweaked it a little since people found it much easier than the mini-boss on level 2 🙂

Хоча хотілось би бачити меншу модель корабля якщо буде всього  по декілька рівнів.  Ну тобто два рівні .. якийсь маленький корабель.Три рівні більший.  Хоча можливо це лише демка .

My Gamplay: (review below)


Took a shot at it. Man this game is fun, the graphics are great and the game play is pretty smooth. I also really like the variety of enemies, that was a nice touch.  I think a good area of improvement would be to change up the boss fights, they feel a touch static right now. for the big turret, I think it would be cool if you had to move around the room to hit switches to debuff the turret or something like that. Then in the last fight, I think instead of 3 phases it should have five and maybe move around the ship a little, turn it into more of a bullet hell type fight. What ever you decide though, keep up the great work, Can't wait to but this one on release!

The game is great

But just 2 things :
- it's not really clear when you take damage (on a boss fight for example)
- most of the time, when the character do a wall jump, they seem to get stuck to the wall (unlike Mario's walljump that launch you to the other direction)

Also, i'll try to finish the demo the fastest without taking any weapon nor damage, give me luck

Yes, i think it's unclear when the player gets hit, especially in the boss fight during the 2nd level

And for the wall jump, i think the problem is the fact that the player is launch up and not to the opposite direction of the wall
I think it would be better if the character get launched up and to the opposite direction of the wall like in mario

Also, i finish the 1st level without taking damage and weapon and it was really fun ^^

Thank you for explaining further :) Things can get a bit messy when there are a lot of bullets flying around.

I do like the Super Mario jump as well. Since Gunborg has a lot of challenging gunfights, I wanted to make sure that the player has a high level of control in air as well as on the ground. This way you can avoid bullets and other dangers more easily. As a result of this, the main character loses momentum quickly, as soon as you stop pressing right or left.

I just published the video on YouTube, I speak Spanish so maybe you don't understand what I'm saying, but I'm just saying that I was fascinated by the game, at one point I marked a possible "bug" but beyond that. I loved it.
I also commented on a possible idea to extend the life of your game and is to put a "challenges" mode with objectives or levels apart from the campaign so that it is longer and we can enjoy even more the tremendous gameplay it has!

Hello! I'm super interested in the game but it gives me this error when I want to play with a ps4 joystick, the same error gave me another game from another dev (maybe it's the same one), I don't know if it could be solved or not but hey, I'll leave you this restlessness.
I will try to play with keyboard and mouse.

I just finished playing the demo and right now I'm making a video for youtube! I loved! Let's say that I am a semi-developer of video games (that's why I dedicate myself to testing other people's games) and before starting the YouTube channel I had an idea similar to that of your game, only that it did not have the function of attacking and shooting but that it only had the function of the shield (basically the same), for reasons of time, and that I had no one to make the sprites for me, I got rid of the project.

But it makes me very happy to see that someone had an idea similar to mine, this will probably become one of my favorite indies, I hope to see it on steam very soon and I will buy it from you as soon as it is available !.

Thank you for mentioning this! I made a mistake writing that the game supports playing with a "gamepad". It only supports xbox controllers and, to some extent, logitech controllers. I had no idea trying to use a ps4- controller would lead to a crash though. I want the game to support more controllers (of course) so I hope that I can find the time to fix this 🙂
